Who you are dealing with
Ebbo is made and sold by Abstractify Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 16239603. When these terms say we, that is who they mean. You can reach a person at hello@ebboapp.com, and a person answers.
What these terms cover
Using Ebbo means accepting what is on this page. If you do not accept it, do not use the app, and if you have already paid, ask for your money back: the refund policy is generous on purpose and there is a link to it below.
What Ebbo is, and is not
Ebbo helps you keep track of how much energy a working day is costing you. It counts, it shows you the shape of your own days, and it can read the shape of your calendar if you let it. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose anything, it does not treat anything, and nothing it says is medical advice. If you are worried about your health, please talk to someone qualified rather than to an app.
Your licence to use it
While your subscription is current, you may use Ebbo on the devices you personally use, for your own purposes, at work or otherwise. What you may not do is resell it, rent it out, share an account with people who are not you, or try to work around the part that asks to be paid. The software stays ours; your days stay yours.
The first 30 days
Ebbo is free for 30 days from the day you install it. We do not ask for a card to start and we do not charge you at the end of it: nothing happens automatically. After 30 days the app stops counting until you subscribe, and everything you have recorded is still there whether you do or not.
What it costs, and when you are charged
Ebbo is £2.99 a month or £24 a year. You are charged when you subscribe and then at the start of each period, until you cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically, which is the only way a subscription works, and you can turn that off at any time. We will tell you before any price change and you can cancel rather than accept it.
Who takes the payment
Payments made on the Mac are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who act as the merchant of record and reseller. Paddle's name, not ours, appears on your statement, and their buyer terms apply to the transaction itself. Purchases made inside the iPhone app are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own terms. We never see or store your card details in either case.
Stopping
Cancel whenever you like, with no notice period and nothing to explain. Ebbo keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for and is not billed again after that. A subscription bought through the App Store can only be cancelled by you, in Settings on your iPhone, under your name, then Subscriptions: we are not able to do it for you.
Refunds
Thirty days from any payment, no reason needed, including renewals. The whole policy is at ebboapp.com/refunds and it is part of these terms.
Your days, and your privacy
What you record stays on your own device unless you choose to sign in and sync it, and even then it is encrypted before it leaves. Export takes everything as a spreadsheet and delete removes it outright, and both keep working whether you are paying us or not. What we hold and why is set out at ebboapp.com/privacy.
What we promise, and what we do not
We will make Ebbo work as described here and fix it when it does not. We cannot promise it will never be unavailable, never lose a day, or suit every person: it is software, and the account sync depends on services we do not own. Ebbo helps you notice things. It is not responsible for the decisions you make afterwards.
If something goes wrong
If we are at fault, we will put it right, and where that is not possible our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before. Nothing here limits anything that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, none of this affects your statutory rights.
Changes, and the law that applies
We may change these terms, and if a change matters we will say so rather than quietly rewriting the page. Continuing to use Ebbo after that means accepting the new version; if you would rather not, cancel and ask for a refund. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction, though as a consumer you keep whatever rights the law where you live gives you.
